For Shane

Running With Butterflies

When you were born,
God gave you wings...
Our eyes could never see.
But we knew they were there,
For our would be.

You brightened every day,
With the love shown in your eyes...
And never.....
Could an hour be sad,
When you gave us all that smile.

The stars now shine beside you,
You may touch them...
If you like....
And now you run with butterflies...
As your wings have taken flight.

May you feel our arms around you,
Surrounding you with love....
We're sending up so many...
For a trillion aren't enough.

Heaven holds you now,
And our hearts will never mend...
It is in them we will keep you,
Until we see you once again.

With love
