Beverly (Wallace) Meckel says:

Debbie and family,
Thoughts, prayers and my deepest sympathy I extend to you after learning of Warren's passing. More than half a century has passed since we saw or knew of each other's lives. We grew up together, as friends, in Dellroy Ohio. Warren and I were classmates from grades one through twelve...graduating from Carrollton in 1966. From that point on, we all went our separate ways out into the world and mostly lost track of each other. I read of Warren's passing on a website of Dellroy news. As I only knew the boy, the obituary and video introduced me to the respected man that Warren became and the life you two shared. My maiden name was Wallace, my parents were Gen and Glenn and lived on Main St not far from the grade school. May God grant you strength and peace.

James Whoric says:

Deb & family,
I am very saddened to hear of Warren's passing. He was in my daily prayers ever since his cancer diagnosis.
I first met Warren as a student in one of his fly tying classes and we became fast friends over the years since. While I never actually fished for trout with him we shared many stories of our experiences on-stream, where we fished , what flies we used and what we caught. I graduated from Penn State University, which has some of best trout streams in the country, from which I was able to share with Warren some of the fly patterns from that area. He was always quick to reciprocate by sharing his local patterns.. He was such a caring and giving person, always ready to share his knowledge & expertise. He had such a big heart for people and will be missed by all he touched along the way of life. I certainly will miss him! "Tight lines,Warren"!
Your friend, Jim Whoric
