Hall, Charles Edward -

 Dickson County - Charles Edward ?Charlie? Hall, age 94 of Tullahoma went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 5, 1917 in the Burns community of Dickson County, TN. He was the son of the late Dalton Hall and Aimee Grace Bear Hall. He started his career at the Jessie Allen Lime Company in Burns and worked at the N.C. & St. Louis Railroad, the L & N Railroad in Nashville, TN and the C & O Railroad in Pikeville, KY before moving to Oak Ridge (Y-12 shop) and then to AEDC in Tullahoma in 1952. He was a Master Machinist who retired from ARO in 1979 after 27 years of service. He was a member of the International Association of Machinist # 1501 for over 50 years. He was an active Charter Member of Wesley Heights United Methodist Church since 1957 and served in several administrative positions as well as being active in the Men?s Club and numerous other activities of the church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Joyce Lathema Brown Hall, brothers, Johnnie Hall and Hershel Hall and a sister, Aimee Grace Cathey. Survivors include three daughters, June (John)Marlin of Athens, AL, Ann (Don)Lannan of Manchester and Charlene Huddleston of Tullahoma, TN; eight grandchildren, Bruce Marlin of Ennis, TX, John D. (Kathy) Marlin of Athens, AL, Shawn Lannan of Williamson, GA, Gavin Lannan of Manchester, TN, Jill (Todd) Kellogg and Kim Lannan both of Murfreesboro, TN, Vicki (Mark) Anderton of Estill Springs, TN , and Kerri Huddleston of Tullahoma, TN; fourteen great-grandchildren; John Marlin and Lucye Marlin both of Ennis, TX, Kristi Marlin of Athens, AL, Nicole Edinger (Michael) Petty of Baton Rouge, LA, Megan Edinger (Benjamin) Summerfield, Oak Grove, KY, Jacob Edinger, Tullahoma, Hannah Lannan, Winchester, TN, Lyla Lannan and Layton Lannan both of Williamson, GA, Logan Boatman, Ryan Kellogg and Rachel Kellogg all of Murfreesboro, Mallory Moore and Kera Moore both of Murfreesboro; great-great granddaughter, Sarah-Lynn Petty of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Jimmy (Nell) Hall of White Bluff, TN and four sisters, Mary Rose of Cleveland, OH, Christine Moss of Bon Aqua, TN, Evelyn (Russell) Watts of Nashville and Arlene Work of Burns, TN. Serving as Pallbearers will be Bruce Marlin, Dee Marlin, Shawn Lannan, Logan Boatman, Michael Petty, Mark Anderton, Jacob Edinger and Todd Kellogg. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Wesley Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Fields and Rev. Billy Ray Panter officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Tullahoma Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Heights United Methodist Church Audio/Visual Fund, 2101 West Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.
